I AM ALIVE. Hi. This is Thomas! He's a new character of mine, ooh, how exciting! I haven't made a new character for like ...a year and a half or something LOL. He was inspired by something really lame ...my mum once said that when your life screws up, it means your guardian angel has momentarily stopped paying attention to you. XD I thought it was an interesting idea so I built Thomas around that kind of concept haha. Long story short: he was a 14 year old boy up until the point where he died in a car accident. As he was going to heaven, his soul was mistakenly re-assigned to the form of an arctic fox, and, to make matters worse, he was sent back down to Earth and made a guardian angel. He could have refused but it would have meant that one human being on Earth would not have had a guardian angel, which meant that they probably would not survive for very long, and if they did, then they'd be quite miserable. Thomas finds his job very difficult, and he's a bit of klutz so it makes his already hard job ...doubly hard haha. His human has a little more bad luck than the average person, but Thomas tries his best to make sure they're OK ...it's all he can do, really. He won't be a guardian angel for all of eternity; he'll get out of it once his human dies, but that won't be for a while yet. I ...don't really know what he is doing here and that story had nothing to do with this picture but that was just some background info ahaha. Anyway it feels like I haven't drawn for a trillion years and I was actually afraid I was forgetting how to draw which annoyed me a lot, but I like how this turned out. ...Probably because I tried about seven million new techniques I'd been hoarding in my brain for the past month or so, just on this one pic haha. I'm afraid it might be overload but ...oh well. XD Oh! And I have to say that the way I did Thomas' fur was inspired by *Hinargaa and *Kitty-lynn annndd ...=CandyCornKita, too, I think. I like how the way they do their fur is so nice and soft and round and I wanted to try that ; ; ahaha yeah. Oh how I longed for the day Uni wouldn't kill you and you would be able to complete one of your beautiful Photoshop images.
This is definitely one of your better pieces! the pose, colours and wings are brilliant. The background fits well with him, yet he stands out nicely on it. I think it's because it is nice and simple?
It's gorgeous either way, actually all of this is gorgeous~
Sometimes I wish my cell shaded pictures came out as beautiful and clean as yours ;3;

Anyway, I've noticed your cell shading skills are getting A LOT better. You and a few other people, actually... must be a bug going around.
It's like... there's so lighting where there *shouldn't* be lighting... it really gives it a more 3D look, and you can picture, even from the front, what the side looks like.
I really love this character too. I like all your characters... But I really do feel something for this little foxy poo. You and yer foxes. XD
I think the light texture is nice, and those... fairies? I dunno... but they rock, May. Ther really do. And the bg... gah, I love all of it. i'll just fav it, eh?
