[DE LA BLEU FOX DESIGN CONTEST]


Aim

Create your very own De La Bleu Fox!


Guidelines and Rules


+ Please read the reference guide on De La Bleu foxes before making your fox. (Linked in this journal)

+ You may make up to three foxes. Actually, you're allowed to make as many foxes as you'd like, but you can only enter 3 into the contest.

+ It does not have to be a full-blown picture; a clean sketch with flat colour will do.

+ I'd encourage you to give your fox a bit of a personality/background!

+ They do not have to be pure De La Bleu Foxes; you are allowed to make them mixbreeds etc. (Hint: mixbreeds, personally, are a lot more fun to make and can get a lot more creative than just a purebred fox! My character Mayer is a mutt De La Bleu fox.)

+ You are allowed to keep your fox for yourself. I actually hope you do! If you don't want to keep your fox though, you can give them away to me.

Judging & Prizes


If you would like to help me judge the entries, note me! But this means that you're not allowed to enter the contest yourself.

I will be judging on creativity, originality, and a pleasing design. In addition, accuracy (you can always note me to ask about things if you're unsure if a fox can be/do this or that.) =]

First Place: $40 commission dollars

Second Place: $20 commission dollars

Third Place: $10 commission dollars

Which basically means you can pick and choose what you would like me to draw out of my commissions. It'll add up to the amount I've given you. =]

In addition, you can choose for your fox to be somewhat related to Madison (my own De La Bleu Fox, and pretty much the first fox created haha), or to have a role in her story. 'Somewhat related' may mean an actual relation, close friend ...etc.

i'd try it out :) i've been wanting to do a design contest myself haha, maybe for comic characters or a species design or summin.

I would love to enter the contest, though I tend to procrastinate a wee bit ^^; It would maybe get me out of this art slump. :)

FAQ

Q: Can we be friends? Please?
A: Sure, since you just asked to be friends with me in the most socially awkward way possible. Asking 'do you want to be friends' falls into the 'I have no social skills and this is kind of awkward' category. Please don't ask me this question! Just get to know me. Comment on my journals; I always comment back. Even better, you can always write me a note, introduce yourself, and we can talk! I don't bite.

Q: Could you please make a mention of my contest or commission in your journal?
A: No, I'm sorry. I only advertise people's commissions/contests etc at my own discretion. I'm not a billboard!

Q: Will you do an art trade with me? How about a request, will you draw me some fanart?
A: I don't usually take art trades/spam trades unless I'm the one asking, though at times I will make exceptions. You can try to ask. I don't do requests and I don't draw fanart on demand.

Q: Can our characters be together?
A: That depends on whether I know you and who that character is. You can always try asking! ;]

Q. Are you interested in drawing for my petsite?
A: Sorry, no, although I may consider it if there is payment.

Q: I sent you a note a few days ago and you still haven't replied. What's up?
Please SEND ME THAT NOTE AGAIN. Don't worry, I don't bite and I won't get mad at you. Having said that, there might be a few reasons why I haven't replied to your note yet. I might've been flooded with notes and your note got lost in the deluge. I might've read your note but forgotten to reply. dA might've malfunctioned and your note mightn't have gotten through at all. In all cases, just send the note again.

Q: I drew you a picture but you don't seem to have seen it yet. I told you about it but I think you might have forgotten ...
First, I'm sorry I've been so rude as to have not seen your art yet! Secondly, note me about it! And if I still don't respond, keep noting me till I've seen it, and YOU'VE seen that I've commented and favourited your art. =]

Q: Can you help me with Photoshop?
A: Sorry, I'm too busy to help everyone with their Photoshop problems. However, I can offer you some tips! :

- Try to Google your problem! If you want to find out how to make a border, for example, why don't you search up 'border, Photoshop'?

A: Sometimes, depending on my mood haha. But I tend to only RP with people I know/friends of mine. You can always try asking though, just note me!
